Subject: mini tri training...help!
Hi! I am a novice runner who is planning on doing a mini triathalon in 2 weeks. It consists of a 2km run 150m(6length)swim and 10km bike. I have been running at least 4 days a week since my baby was born in October and used to be on a swim team. My runs now are usually a 10 minute mile(usually 30 mins of running on the tredmill a day, I also have a stair workout once a week. can you recommend a training regiment for the next two weeks? I still have about 20 pounds of baby weight to lose to get to my prepregnancy weight but I think I could complete the minitriathalon with a little help...can you help?!

Sincerely, Jennifer Drover
PS my friends think I am crazy but I think it is doable! Please help!

hey, i was just going to tell u to get in the pool today. anyways, i bet u could do this blindfolded especially with your running base and swimming backround.

here's a schedule:

WED (today) - swim5min, bike 10min THURS - run30min FRI - swim 5min, bike 15min SAT - run25min, SUN swim 10min, bike20min MON - rest TUES - swim10min, bike30min, WED - run20min THURS - swim 10min, bike 30min FRI - rest, SAT/SUN - RACE!

your mini tri is basically half a sprint. sounds like this will be no probelm for u. the times above are conservative enough to complete the race with plenty of time to spare. i can see u doing sprint length distances with no problem this year.

i'm here for any more ?'sss
