In T1 looking for my Schwinn Huffy
Subject: Checklist for first sprint triathlon
I'm pretty new to the site  - so the info I'm looking for may be right in front of me - but is there a checklist for Sprint triathlon which includes (i) what items to bring and (ii) important info to remember before heading out the door.  With respect to approach, I'm definitely taking the advice from prior emails to just enjoy it, look around to see how others handle transitions and resist the urge to blast into Zone 5 right out of the gates.  I can handle that approach but, since I have trouble finding my keys and wallet EVERY morning, I'm pretty sure I'm going to forget something important when I head out the door (like my bike).

So, if there is a link to good article or prior posts on this topic, would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.  Thanks!

One thing I did before my first tri (and still do it) is make a drawing of how I want to set up my transition area.  Towel down, bike shoes on left, with helmet on top, sunglasses in helmet, running shoes on the right with balled up socks on them and number belt and hat on top, etc....

If you can practice your transitions at home, make your drawing, and then when you get there on race day and you are all nervous you can just pull out the drawing to set up your transition area.

Have fun and you will get hooked on tris I guarantee!!
