Subject: RE: Armstrong to do triathlons in 2010Well, to be accurate, it doesn't say he'll do them in 2010. It says "beginning in 2010" he'll be competing for Radio Shack.
Tough to pick any triathlons he would do while also riding the Tour next year. He's not likely to do anything before July. Kona is early October, which gives him barely 2 months to get ready after the Tour ends. Could he do it? Almost certainly. Would it give him the chance to perform as well as he would probably want? Almost certainly not. He could probably get well trained for IMFL, but that's just not nearly as big a media stage as Kona.
I'd like to see otherwise, but I figure triathlons won't be in the mix until he re-retires from pro cycling. Of course, he could certainly get more than ready for Longhorn right here in Austin in mid-October. Keith, have your people call his people! |
