Long Beach--So Cal!!!
Subject: Which plan would you recommend?
I have browsed through the different training plans and was thinking of signing up for a membership--but I have to admit that I am not sure which would be the most appropriate.

I use a Garmin 305 for my running and biking. I don't have the cadence attachment and don't use the HR monitor. (Don't like the feel of it...) I will be getting a cat eye to moniter cadence soon. I do upload my workouts onto my computer and like to see the progress I have made from really slow to just slow... I am not yet to the point of timing distance in the pool and lose count of laps on a regular basis.

I am looking for a forum where I can ask questions of a coach and do have similar questions to some in the gold forum. I am interested in integrating marathon and triathlon training and really like the idea of monitering my progress in a graphical fashion and be able to compare it to others. I tend to do 2 a day workouts, also including strength workouts at the gym.

I am not super tech savvy and not really into uploading and keeping track of every small detail of my workout.

Any ideas on which plan might be best for me? Is there a way to try them out to see which might be best? Thanks so much for any insights that you may have!

All the training plans are great, and can be altered as you need, though everyone will always recommend sticking to the original plan as much as possible.

As memberships go, Gold was nice when I was brand new 'cause I had a coach at my disposal.  After that I kept it at Silver, there are training chats to take advantage of periodically, and then the mentor groups---both have been great for my questions that have cropped up in my HIM training.

One does not have to be an uber techie to use the site, that's partly why it's so popular!

Welcome to BT!

As far as using the site to see if it is for you, go to the 'training log' button at the top and at least start logging your daily training.  Once you get the hang of it, all the other stuff will build off of it.

You can see and try out the first two weeks of any of the silver/gold plans, just go to the 'Programs' button and within the plan listing you will see 'first 2 weeks details'.
