I've been eying this race but I'm still on the fence.  Anyone who's done this race in previous years have any feedback?  I'd like to hear about it.  Thanks.

I wonder if there are any changes to the course due to the construction on bear cut bridge...I had been thinking about doing this race but now I'm not sure

I have to let people know, if the swim is in crandon park like last year please get ready. For some reason august is not kind on the ocean. Be prepared for waves and wind headed towards the large bridge.

This race will be at the same location as the Trilogy number 2 race. The swim will be in the same area. The bike portion will be like Trilogy number 2 (over the bridge and coming back around on to Virginia Key) except doing it three times (I´m not 100% sure about this, but I do know that the bike course will involve three loops and since we can´t go over Bear Cut Bridge and the bike course at the last sprint was around 8 miles, doing that three times would be approximately 40 Km, there is really no other alternative). The run will be like the last one except doing it twice, this I know for sure.

Yes, this info is correct...
the run is shady for a good portion of it..there is Rickenbacker that you have to go over 3 times..back and forth, so 6 climbs..and the swim is great..very clean and lovely...not like Crandons yucky water...I will be there with my tri club..boca Raton triathletes..I think we have 17 or so members racing...will probably have a tent for afterwards..

We were planning to race this one...but...after raced the Trilogy #2...that was shortened from 10 to 8 miles...and...wondering...what this people would decide to do for the bike course...

We opted for something different and new....the Publix FFW Triathlon in Key Largo...at the John Pennekamp State Park....and...very close to our house...

since this is a qualifier for nationals do you have to be pre qualified to sign up for this race?

I have heard this is a good race, where all proceeds are given to the Huntington's Disease charity, which is nice.  Unfortunately I cannot sign up as I'm on vacation beginning Friday.  And yes, it is a super-qualifier for Nationals (although Nationals is three weeks following).

Trilogy 2 race wasn't that bad, although I would really like to see a smoother transition area (one not completely covered with rocks).

Good luck to all who sign up.
