Subject: My second century.I finished my second century ride yesterday, the Sunrise Century - http://www.bikerpelli.com/Sunrise_Century/index.php
Awesome ride. 100 miles (obviously ), 7000 feet of elevation gain total (36 miles of uphill pedal pushing ), and for me 7 hours 5 minutes, plus breaks. (Should I report that as 8 hours 30 minutes or is 7 hours 5 minutes accurate - what's the proper way to report my time??? )
About half way in I was feeling OK, but I was having some cramp problems in the quads. I grabbed a handful of Sun Chips and felt great within a few minutes, so it would seem I was needing salt. But, I had been drinking CytoMax the whole time. Granted, I also drank a good amount of water, but shouldn't the CytoMax have provided all the electrolytes I needed? I do sweat A LOT, I should mention. I lost approximately 5 pounds on this ride, and at the end my arms looked like salt crusted salmon - literally crusted with salt that had crystallized out of my sweat. Should I be doing something other than CytoMax??
