Subject: Any Chandler Peeps Run @ Hamiltion HS Track?

I need to do a LT field test this week and was thinking about doing it on the track at Hamiltion HS. Have any of the Chandler peeps ran there before? I ask only because school started today for the Chandler school district and I want to make sure that I don't get kicked off the track or trigger some "stranger danger" school wide alarm (no, I'm not planning to run in the nude). School starts at 7:something in the morning and I'd probably be there around 5am so I don't think it would be a problem.

I ran around it a few years ago but it isn't a track that is open to the public for use. You may want to check with the school to see if you are allowed there as it didn't seem as so when I was there.

I know you can get on Gilbert High or MCC.

Tempe high schools generally allow recreational runners on their tracks anytime except school hours. I've run at McClintock (which is currently torn up because they are resurfacing the track), Marcos de Niza on Guadalupe, and Corona del Sol at Rural and Knox (might be the closest to you).

There are a couple of groups that do track workouts at Corona -- Lifetime Fitness Tempe Run Club on Tuesdays at 5:30 a.m., and Sole Sports on Wednesdays at 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

There is a track at Santan k-8 (Chandler Heights/Cooper) that is open.  It's dirt/grit though not covered.
