If you plan to run the Kiawah Island half or full marathon, the first day to sign up is Monday, 3 Aug. The half marathon typically sells out quickly. kiawahresort.com. The race is Sat, 12 Dec 2009.

I loved this race last year; good course, well run, cool temps -- but I'm biased as it was my first (and so far only) marathon.  I'm going to do it again this year.

Wow- it's that time already?  I've run the half 5 years now.  I have to skip out on it this year though because it's only a week after IM Couzmel

I do wish they would switch to a corral start for this race- from what I remember last year, the cart path gets very crowded and it can get hard to pass people.
