Subject: Did my first tri this weekend, picked up some hardwareDid my first sprint tri this weekend after having been exhausted for days beforehand. It was hard. Harder than I expected even though I felt prepared. But I did manage to walk away with a 2nd place medal for my AG. That was cool. I met fellow BTer KarmannGhia there and it was fun to have someone you sort of "knew" to commiserate with and cheer for. I didn't see his bike crash but I did see him later and he handled it well. I posted a race report minus times and pictures. I guess they'll post our times online? The photographer should send out a notice when her pics are up. I didn't wear my Garmin during the race to get splits because I'm still learning how to use it. I definitely want to do another one. It won't be in the immediate future most likely because I have some packed weekends coming up and no time to seriously train but I am going to work on my biking and running in the meantime. I think a future event will probably be either a regular length sprint or an Oly. I would like a longer race to allow me to reach good pacing. Thanks for everyone's advice!
