I really want to start biking but have no bike! I would love to find a good used road bike to get me going. (Preferably designed for a woman) Let me know if you have something for me!!!

eBay is the place to go-- yesterday there were 2 GREAT bikes that went for about 400 bucks, both a tad too big for me- about how tall are you? How expereinced a rider are you? What kind of bike are you looking for? What is your price range?

Dang! $400! That would have been good for my budget. I have been looking at new bikes and have just been amazed at how expensive they are. I am about 5'6 and am not an experienced rider. My goal is to start working towards a triathlon, so I want a bike that will allow me to train comfortably and get me through races. I'm not really sure what I need to be looking for. I would really like to cap my price range at about $550-$600.

this seller always has a ton of bikes at good prices, she specializes in lesser well known frames (but they are still pretty good)

Before you buy any bike, be it on e-bay or anywhere else, make sure that you know exactly what size you will need.  Go to a decent bike shop and get yourself fully fitted.  You can information on the better bike shops from your local bike club such as the Fort Worth Bicycling Association (site below).  Actually you can inquire from the Association as to whether there are any used bikes for sale by its members.

Have you had any luck finding a road bike?  I'm selling mine, only 2 months old, less than 100 miles. 

It's a Giant OCR 3.  I bought this brand new, but now am looking tp upgrade to tri bike.
