Took the kids to sasamat lake on Sunday, and was AMAZED to see how many people actually swim there - Groups and singles.

Other than Tri clubs meeting at the lake and I think a few non-formal groups like Facebook, there are no actual organizations or scheduled swims. However, most days at 6 to 6:30, there is pretty much a given to find a bunch of people willing zip you up and swim with you.

I went up to Buntzen Lake a few weeks ago for a swim as I'd heard Sasamat was a no-go for a while - apparently most Summers Buntzen is too cold but in mid-July it was perfect!! Quiet too for swimming out deeper - heading back there again tomorrow for a swim, can't wait.
