Subject: Cateye V2C vs Strada Double Wireless
Does anyone know what the difference is between these two?  I've been looking at Cateye's website, to try and compare the two...but just get more confused.  They're both wireless with cadence...that part, I get.  But beyond that, I can't seem to pick apart any other differences, other than price.  The Strada Double Wireless is a fairly new model that just came out earlier this year and retails for $99...whereas, the V2C has been around a good while now and retails for $149.  What makes the V2C worth $50 more than the Strada Double Wireless?

the V2c has lap functions, the Strada doesn't. The V2c also has a 3rd display and a backlight (I had a cateye micro wireless, which also had a backlight, and it was useless - the button to turn it on was hard to reach, and it dimmed the numbers to the point I couldn't see them easily). Pace arrow for cadence is a nice feature too, wish I had that (I have a wired strada cadence, not the new one).

Is it worth an additional $50? who knows? Those are some nice features, and once I got past the 'gee wiz' factor with the "clickTec" button, it's actually slightly annoying. But part of that might be negated by the wireless function.

I just upgraded to the V3 from the Double Wireless.  (The V3 just adds the heart rate monitor).  I really like the upgrade since it allows for a view of my average cadence and speed - all on one screen.

I run a V2C on both my bikes and love it.  Have never tried the double wireless though but it looks solid as well.

Cateye service is very helpful as well. Battery was defective in one of my sensors, I called and they express delivered an entire new unit two days later.

I have a V2C and like it very much. The 2.4 broadband signal works very well so there is no interference with the signal from the sensor. I like the capability of displaying speed/cadence and distance at the the same time. I also like the lap feature.

I have had issues with other wireless computers getting interference from power lines, other wireless computers, heart rate monitors, and even a Nite Rider head light in flashing mode. This was with a different Cateye wireless computer. I have had no issues with the V2C. They may have fixed that problem with the new Strada.

I got mine last year at a good discount so I can't answer if the it is worth the full retail price. All I know is that many other riders have told me that their comupter just went "flaky" while my V2C was rock steady on some rides.
