Subject: RE: Michigan's Triathlon & Duathlon Championship 8/30/09I just went and drove the bike course. There are several good hills out there, plus enough rollers and low grades to make this a fairly challenging course. The road conditions are actually pretty good, with the exception of inside the park right out of transition and Teggerdine is not all that great - definitely not terrible like some of the Kensington roads though. I think the challenge for me is going to be pacing myself on those hills so that I've got enough left in me for a 10k run. One question for those who have done an oly before, is there usually a bike aid station to get a refill of water? I'm a little afraid that I might run out and be parched by the time I get back and I sure don't want to be dehydrated going into the run. I might just wear my fuel belt with 2x10oz bottles to go along with the profile bottle and my cage if there's no aid station. |
