Subject: Adamo Saddle vs. Cobb Cycling V-Flow MAXI saw the recent thread with the question about the Adamo racing saddle. So I thought I'd post my review of the New V-Flow MAX.
Prior to getting the Adamo racing saddle, I couldn't hardly sit on my saddle over 20 miles without squirming or getting off the saddle for relief. I was dealing with terrible soreness, and numbness. Oh, it was BAD! ! !
So I tried about 3 different saddles before getting the Adamo. Wow! ! ! The Adamo was Really, Really Good. I completed all my training for IMLouisville on the Adamo without any problem. It is a Great saddle as you can read from many posts on this forum. My Bike segment at IMLouisville went without any problems. I couldn't say enough about the Adamo.
On the other hand. . . .
John Cobb just came out with the V-Flow MAX. It is the 3rd in his V-Flow series of saddles, but this one is supposed to be the one that out-performs his prior invention, the Adamo. This saddle uses the same concept as the Adamo; to relieve the pressure from the sensitive areas, but it allows you to sit back a little further on the saddle, where you have a bit more cushion. Oh Baby! ! ! I just finished IMCanada, and sat on the bike for the whole 112 miles. I never had to go to the loo, nor did I get off to get my special needs bag. I was able to do the special needs bag on the fly. I can't tell you how much I LIKED the V-Flow MAX! ! ! I can't recall squirming, or even thinking about any pain on the saddle.
Though the Adamo is a great saddle, and works very, very well for those trying to get pressure relief on the bike, the New V-Flow MAX is as good, and BETTER than the Adamo.
Best of all. . . John Cobb offers a 180 day Money Back Guarantee! ! ! ! Now how can you beat that? ? ?
Just my review on the New V-Flow Max. As we all know, saddles are very personal, and one saddle doesn't fit all. But if you are contemplating on getting the Adamo, I'd at least try the V-Flow MAX first. If you don't like it, send it back, and then try the Adamo.
That's it for me. . . . . |
