Subject: Advice needed on Orbea Ordu
Hey All,

I just had question about an unused/brand new 06 Orbea Ordu that I found at an LBS. I have looked at few newer TT bikes (Felt B12 and Cervelo P2 Ultegra) and they didn't even compare to the comfort level of this bike (priceless LOL)but the sticker on it (which I know is negoitable) is $5100.00 way too much for an 06. What is a fair price? It has Ultegra components with an FSA SLK Carbon crankset, Flash Point wheelset not sure what type but looked like 40mm deep carbon wheel. I rode it just a little bit but just loved the feel of the bike. I wanna be fair but not overpay on my first TT. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I don't think that is a deal at all.  Go to Orbea's website.  You can get an 09 with Ultegra for ~$4500.  IMO, the flashpoints aren't worth that much.  Search classifieds and you could pick up a zipp front and a disc cover for well under a grand.  I would ask them for more specifics about why they feel they can charge that for a 3 year old bike.  If they yank you around, i would take my business somewhere else.

Yeah I knew it was why up there and then confirmed it after looking at the Orbea website. Thanks. What do think would be a fair price?
