Subject: Battery Replacement on Polar FS2
I am getting no communication between my FS2 wrist unit and my chest strap.  Has anyone replaced the battery on their own.  The Polar website says to send it in.  Think I will do any damage by doing it myself?

I've replaced the battery in my Polar chest strap on my own without any problems.

For the wrist unit, I sent mine in.

I have the F11 and I changed my own chest strap but sent in my wrist unit.  I use my HRM during my races, I wanted them to change the battery to ensure the water resistance remained intact. When I bought mine the chest strap came with an replacement gasket.

I think I have an FS2 or something similar.  I sent it in...definitely wished to preserve the waterproofness.....when you do it yourself you just never know.
