Subject: trouble with the site!!
I am not sure whats going on........since last night I am having difficulty navigating the site. When I click on a box it loads and loads and loads but does not open. This goes for "forum" or "training log" or whatever. I have to try several times. It happens with both Safari and Firefox. Other websites seem to be ok.........so i am not sure if its my computer or BT?Help!

We're not experiencing any issues on our end.  Have you cleared your cache/temp files out lately. This sometimes helps with issues like this.

If you're using Windows I recommed CCleaner.

Tried that.....cleared the cache out. I am now on a PC....different computer....and it took FOREVER just to logon! Loading, loading, loading......

Sigh.......clearly I am addicted to BT and get a wee bit grumpy when I cannot access it!!

Any other ideas??

ETA: My son removed the "Spore" disc from the Mac and now we are back in business. As for the PC.....well I guess its just an old slow PC.

Thanks Mike!

Nope it is not the computer unless you are using mine.  I have been having this same issue for a month or so now.  It does it with Firefox, Google, and IE, but not my Iphone.  It also is not operating system picky, it does it on my laptop which is Vista, as well as my desktop which is not.

Glad its not just me....Mike.......I am continuing to have problems. I have NO Spore disc inserted .....have updated all the soft ware......and still have issues. When I try and respond to a thread , or even send a private message, it loads and loads.......forever. Sometimes I can actually submit....and sometimes it does not work and everything I have written has vanished into cyber space. This is very frustrating. Again, it is happening with both Safari and Firefox. And other websites are working ok.Any other ideas??ETA....when I click "submit" it loads forever....while at the same time I get a box that says "than you for your post". I have to exit and go back.....and sometimes my post is there.....as in this case.....and sometimes its not. Sorry, I am probably not explaining this very well. I am computer challenged, which makes this even more frustrating for me.

Is is consistent? Meaning every time you click, or is it intermittent?

Mine is intermittent, bordering on consistent.  It took about 3 or 4 minutes for my previous post to actually post, it just said loading.

Sounds like your ISP is slow or having dropped times or there is some junk on your computer to slow the browsing process.  Does other website fourms show the same issues?

You mentioned you cleared your cache, but sometimes the cache doesn't get completly cleaned out.  Download the free program ccleaner and run the defaults.  reboot and try again.  If this doesn't fix the problem, then reset your entire Internet settings.... In IE (all versions), go to Tools, Internet Options and a window will pop up.  Click each tab and click the defaults.  This will do several things like clear out the cache as well as set your browser to automatically check for new pages stored and limit your temp files and history.

If that still doesn't work, then options to find out exactly when this is happening.  If your running off a cable provider, then your speeds will be slow during peak times (sharing from your neighbor's Inet pipe).  So google a site "dsl speed" and check the speeds at different times (peak and non peak).

Hope that helps.
