Barrie First timer

Hey there congrats on starting to train for your first try thats very exciting. I'm 27 live up huntsville way and im in the same boat regarding looking for a training buddy. whih tri are you plannning on doing. Have you looked at the training involved and how prepared are you now. Id love to come down maybe once in a couple weeks to meet up and maybe go for a run or something (im a terrible runner by the way) thats my week link. There should also be a tri group in your area that can give you lots of helpful hints and people to train with. Good luck.

Hey thanks for the reply. I actually just landed a job with the Ministry of Health in Whitby and am going to be doing Ambulance Comm. Officer Training in toronto until March. I'll give you a shout when I'm back. As for training, I've been building for the last 2 months and am about to start on the 20 week Olympic (Run focused). I'm not a wonderful runner either. As for races, I'm hoping to do Gravenhurst, Orillia and Barrie Possibly Toronto Island

Good luck with your training.  I have done 3 marathons (last one in 2004) and a couple tri-tries....but i am attempting the 1/2 iron in sept. in ottawa.....yikes....the swim will be what kills me...i work shift work as an emerg nurse so that will be a challenge as well.
