Sunny
Total Time = 2h 41m 40s
Overall Rank = /
Age Group = 25-29
Age Group Rank = 25/25
Pre-race routine:

Got to the site at 5:30 am. I set up my transition area. Had a pop tart for breakfast and drank water.
Event warmup:

Stretched my legs. No "real" warm-up.
Swim
  • 14m 59s
  • 500 yards
  • 02m / 100 yards
Comments:

The first two lanes were divided in half. I attempted to stay to the right to allow other competitors to pass, but kept hitting my right elbow on the wall. I was kicking too hard, and exerted too much energy. That made me fatigued for the rest of the swim. I had to breast stroke several times. Once I got into my rhythem, I was fine.
What would you do differently?:

Practice "serpentine" course in my own pool. Train much more on my swim.
Transition 1
  • 06m
Comments:

Not sure about the time for T1. It was included in my overall bike time. I think it was about 6 minutes. I had to remember to take my time. I was pretty tired after my swim, so I got my composure together and went on out.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Bike
  • 1h 26m 40s
  • 21.5 miles
  • 14.88 mile/hr
Comments:

The bike was great. For the most part, the terrain was flat. There were no water stations, though. I should've drank more on the ride.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder.
Transition 2
  • 03m
Comments:

Had a hard time getting the feeling back into my legs. Had to "power walk" my bike to the rack.
What would you do differently?:

BRICKS!
Run
  • 1h 00m 1s
  • 5 miles
  • 12m  min/mile
Comments:

Should've taken my Fuel Belt because there was only one water station (available twice through the run) on the course in addition to the one at the beginning.
What would you do differently?:

BRICKS!
Post race
Warm down:

Massage was given after race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Since this was my first race, I was fearful of not finishing. Looking back, I could've pushed harder on the run.

Event comments:

I AM FINALLY A TRIATHLETE!
