Swim
Comments: Really liked the swim, the water was a great temp. but I kept mistaking bright oranges caps on others' heads for the bright orange buoys! What would you do differently?: warm up a bit longer and get better at drafting and navigation. Transition 1
Comments: I really could have picked up the pace in this transition! Bike
Comments: LOVED the bike and was very glad I drove the course the night before; otherwise the big hills would have been a surprise. I kept myself at a pretty comfortable pace and the hills weren't too bad thanks to training on mostly hills around Aspen. What would you do differently?: Probably could have given a bit more and definitely want aero bars for my next tri. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Loved the kids spraying water to keep us cool! A little frustrated by the several people telling me "half mile left" at various points along the course! Post race
Warm down: light stretching, walking around, post-race massage :) Event comments: So many great volunteers! Greatly appreciated! Last updated: 2005-06-26 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30, packed up and headed with friends to the 24 hour waffle house for coffee and waffle. Got to the transition area and tried to remain relaxed. First tri ever, and wasn't sure what to expect...
not much...bit of stretching and a quick swim to get used to the water
