| Extreme Veteran 380 | Subject: RE: 2nd shark attack! My daughter did the ocean mile in Clearwater Saturday morning with the USAT Junior Development Camp. As I was driving to my Dad's house in Ocala that afternoon, I heard about the first shark attack on the radio. Sunday they went to the rainbow river for a swim and this morning I heard on the radio that a teenage boy died in the river on Sunday. Then I heard about shark attack #2. All I can say is I'm glad she doesn't have a TV in her dorm room! ps. Any idea where to find results for the Clearwater Beach race? |

Hopefully with a wetsuit I will be able to swim faster than the shark or at least faster than some other guy at IMFL this comming November...  But seriusly, I sure hope that boy gets better.... Gosh... cannot imagine... Hope he gets better and to those going to Florida.. just stick to designated swimming areas and be safe. cheers |

The race results were in the Tampa Trib according to my swim coach. They are not online yet (haven't checked this morning though). |

| Extreme Veteran 380 | Subject: RE: 2nd shark attack! Thanks for the info, I'll keep looking online. There were several local swim teams at the race, so some pretty fast swimmers. My daughter liked the course and was really happy there were no dead fish like at Sarasota last weekend. She had a good swim, not her best, but she was tired from several late nights in a row and a hard training day on Friday. Boy, it was great to see so many people out there! We don't usually get that many out for ocean swims here. I think we will try to make it back for the July race. |
