A couple of questions:

Is the chat for paid members only?

How can I get a nice plain white background? All those nice themes are annoying. I looked at the editing options but didn't get far. Maybe it's too simple for me

Yes, bronze+ for the BeginnerChat.

As far as backgrounds, it defaults to a blue, got to 'Options' - you can change a lot of things, though i couldn't get white background and black text...I did the reverse:

Public log background ---> Black
Text tab: Check for 'use my text color for all received messages'...or leave it unchecked for users colors.
