Run
Comments: I felt REALLY GOOD! I kept a very steady 8min pace, which really surprised me. My 5 mile split was 40:46, which means I actually had a negative split (it wasn't as hilly in the 2nd half) What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Stretched out and ate some bananas, oranges, watermelon, and bagels. Drank lots of water. Cooled off in the lake What limited your ability to perform faster: I am really pleased with my time and couldn't think of being able to go much faster than I did. Event comments: Can't beat the scenery! I did very well keeping hydrated (I stopped at every water station and walked while drinking) and I didn't feel wiped out at the end, which is good considering I'll be doing a swim and bike before a run of this length next month. Perhaps because I because didn't put any pressure on myself with this race (I viewed it as a training run) I was able to do so well... Last updated: 2005-07-03 12:00 AM

Woke up around 5:30. Ate breakfast - waffles, sausage & OJ
stretched out very well. I didn't do any running, figuring 10 mile run was enough!
