I am thinking that those 20 minutes of very cursory swim instruction were worth a TON.  Time will tell.

Glad to know I'm not the only one having issues swimming with a wetsuit. I feel like I'm slipping and sliding on top of the water AND I have no control while trying to do the crawl. I wonder if I have too much buoyancy. I got really frustrated after using my wetsuit twice, so nver used it again. I really do need to learn how to swim in it if I am to go out in open water. Any advice?Cry

Ummm, go swim. Swim a lot. Swim a lot in the wetsuit in open water. I'm guessing you would learn how to swim in it in open water if you do that

Good luck! Just a word of friendly caution...i have heard that the chlorine in pools can be bad for wetsuits over time so maybe rinse it after each swim or something. Im not an expert though so other people please chime in if i am wrong. Keep practicing and im sure you'll be fine!
