My aisics keep giving me blisters in my arch.... It bothers both feet, but the right foot blisters the worst.  I can't run more than 4 miles without getting a hotspot... and if i run for 6 miles there's a massive blister.  8 miles is just torture. I've only put about 45 miles on these shoes too.....

They are the aisics gt-2150.  Wtf am i doing wrong here???

btw, the blister is kinda towards the side of my arch.  Its being caused by one of the support straps on the side of the shoe.

Yeah I've had the same problem. I've used Asics for years and never had any problems before, but my new pair are too inflexible. Mine are finally about broken in now, after about 3 months. I had to only wear them occasionally because of the blister problems. I broken them in by wearing them around town, around the house or wherever I was going. I also took my old Asics insoles out and switched them with my new shoes, then I traded off shoes when running, only wearing my new ones on days where my mileage was lower. Slowly but surely I got them broken in.
Hope that helps.

Since taking up this sport, Asics 21xx are the only shoes that I have worn.
However, if you are experiencing this problem, I would recommend trying another pair, replacing the insole or go with a different brand altogether.
At $100, why torture your feet?

After wearing Asics motion control shoes for years they changed something in a recent model and experienced blisters in the arch. I now run Brooks Addiction 8. I'm not sure what prompts them to update their shoes but I wasn't pleased

Thanks guys... i'll wear them around town to try and break them in more.  My brooks adrenaline still have some coushin in them, so i'll use them for the long distance runs.

I have he gt-2120's and no problem's at all. I made the mistake of buying Nike Airshox running sneakers and never again.

If you got them at a local running store, they might be able to exchange them for a new pair.  My LRS did this on a pair I wore for about two months.

I used the Asics 2xxx series for years.  I would (very) occasionally get a blister on one arch or the other, but nothing too bad, and they would usually heal in a couple of days.  At first I had no problems with the 2130s, but then I started getting really bad blisters on both arches, at the same time.  It got to the point where it happened every time I ran in them.

I noticed if I pulled back the insole in the arch area, the dense, inflexible midsole material extends pretty high up.  I assume that this is what caused the blisters.  I compared some of my older Asics, and they weren't nearly as bad.  I'm now wearing a pair of 1140's which the midsole does not extend as high up and they work great.  Also I am rotating them with a pair of Nike Lunarglides which seem to work okay too.

Oh yeah by the way, google Asics 2150 blisters and you'll see a lot of people saying they have problems with them too.

Try some Bodyglide on the problem areas.

Interesting idea...I never thought of it myself until just yesterday while in the shoe shop while my wife was buying new running shoes...she was outside trying them out when I asked the shop manager about the blisters I get on the bottom of my feet when I run over 12 miles or so. He suggested trying body glide..I did this morning and it really works!! No more mole skin for long runs!!!

That is an interesting idea, although I don't think that would have helped the blisters I was getting.  I even got them wearing the two layer anti-blister socks.

The bodyglide works great as does underarmor socks.
I went to the underarmor socks instead of the reg basic sock and it stopped it immediatly
