Comments: This is a really hilly course, so it was tough. I decided to wear my older shoes because I figured they would get really wet. It was really steamy and humid for the first two miles, so I had a hard time with that. My lungs weren't feeling so great and I walked up some of the hills. I ran the first mile and walked between 1 and 3. I was starving before mile 3 and really wished I'd had a Gu or a snack before. Just as I was getting to mile 3, the skies opened up and it started pouring again. I was reinvigorated by the rain and suddenly had a lot of energy. I cooled off a lot and felt better as I was running. What would you do differently?: Less hilly course, eat something before, wear my comfy shoes. Post race
Warm down: Picked up some ice cream and walked back to the car. Ate half of it and saved the rest for later. Went home and showered. I was soaked and cold! Last updated: 2010-07-27 12:00 AM

Got to the race site and it was raining. Picked up my number and light and stood under a tent. They announced a delay, so I went to sit in my car for awhile. We started 20 minutes late after the rain stopped.
