Subject: RE: Toughman : Official Thread I don't have many words of wisdom, except maybe to swim bike and run faster than I do There are a couple things that stand out in my mind from the run course. First, when you get to the base of the dam, it can seem a little daunting that you have to run to the top of it. It's not a bad climb though, because it's on a nice trail that switches back, so not so steep. You do have to still climb a little when you get to the top of the dam, and that took me a little by surprise last year. Second, the hard climb between mile 9 and 10. That's a point in the race where mental toughness really comes into play. I like to remind myself that when I get to mile 10, there's only 5K to go, and I've run a bunch of 5K's I took a look at your logs, and you are definitely ready! Hope we get to meet Sunday. Anthony |
