I'll be there. I did the race last year and really enjoyed it. Well run and  a challenging bike and run. We are probably not too far from each other, since I am in Orange County in NY.

I'm #455 if you would like to come say hello.

Well, I guess no one else wants to talk about this race, mchubri. Probably too busy tapering and getting mentally prepared for the hills

Looks like we are getting a break with some cooler weather which is great. I hope you are feeling good and are ready to rock!

I'm ready to rock!  Having a great taper week, however just blew a spoke on my bike last night, had to rush my wheels down to my LBS for an emergency fix!

I'm #112, I'll definitly keep an eye out for you.

As a vet of this course, any words of wisdom or caution?

I don't have many words of wisdom, except maybe to swim bike and run faster than I do

There are a couple things that stand out in my mind from the run course. First, when you get to the base of the dam, it can seem a little daunting that you have to run to the top of it. It's not a bad climb though, because it's on a nice trail that switches back, so not so steep. You do have to still climb a little when you get to the top of the dam, and that took me a little by surprise last year. Second, the hard climb between mile 9 and 10. That's a point in the race where mental toughness really comes into play. I like to remind myself that when I get to mile 10, there's only 5K to go, and I've run a bunch of 5K's

I took a look at your logs, and you are definitely ready! Hope we get to meet Sunday.
