Dark and blue

Nothing to do

At work instead of playing

Fun is what I'm craving

Haley asked for a poem

But all I've got is flotsam

Creativity is stifled by my cubicle

Hi tech can definately be brutal

I had a moment of nice fire

went home and changed my tire

Now I'm wondering what to do now I'm back

Can't change another tire or I'd get the sack

This poem helped speed the dripping, drooping clock

But now that I'm almost done, I don't want to stop

What will I do?

That seems more like an old 80's freestyle rap than a poem.  Kind of run DMC style.  Nice floetry!  Maybe you can get someone to beatbox behind you while you recite it.

I think it's time for another post-lunch boredom reliever.  Anymore lyrical poetic goodness for us?

Well, "changing my tire" was a double intender for... uh... ask Haley.

Besides, you and the others have been in my logs demanding original odes, so I'm trying to get back into the "flow de ode" zone. I'll have to work into the "Friday ode" mindset - as well as into the blatantly suggestive and downright offensive themes that are my bread and butter. With so many people here now, geting a thread yanked, particularly one of mine,  is a real possibility.

Ron, how are we coming on the "red light" room?

I will have to be sneaky about it, Stacie, but I'll get the dirty, nasty ode you so crave... maybe we could discuss some themes on my bear-skin rug over a glass of wine? (Only room for two, so your husband can't come, sorry).

We don't offer allergy odes

In fact, ther're over sold

I'd rather talk about sex

or girls or sex or... sex

Besides, if you take a minute and change a tire

You will forget all about that nose on fire

Tickle whatever tingles

Ring your little bell

Use your favorite finger

I promise I won't tell....

Ode to Tmwelshy

We all bow down to your artistic mastery

How you come up with this stuff is all a mystery

Ron may raise an eyebrow if you’re working blue

But visions of hoss chicks are raising something on you

Each ode a “cup of joe” treasure

Inspired by boredom and self pleasure

A creative mind that borders on insane

Seeking a subject most inane

a rival with which to toil

Thought this deserved a bump. Newbies, this is what Welshy was all about when he had time to waste here.

I miss the poems!

And, um...., I wonder if he really did change tires that day?

I like the plural verb tense in that sentence.

I like the plural verb tense in that sentence.

Wonder if that increases the chances of Tom being an organ donor?
