Expert 715 PA | Subject: RE: Finally, A NEW BIKE!!! took my first ride on it today and got about 23 miles out, when i get my first ever FLAT! all the miles i ever put on my previous bike i never flatted. i have this bike not even 24 hours and i get stranded. to make things worse, i was overconfident in my tires sp i never bothered to take the underseat emergency pouch off from my other bike for this ride so i had nothing to fix the flat with. i will say though that some of my faith in humanity was restored today because while i was carrying the bike today for over a mile today until my wife met me, i had 6 different people stop and ask me for a ride or help. one biker, a dude on roller blades, and 4 motorists. heck, i wont take a spare tube along for that matter if i am going to have all kinds of people offering to help! and yes, the bike was awesome until the mishap. i even enjoyed carrying it on my shoulder for half an hour. |
