New marathon in Collin County

I had picked April 10-Big D marathon for my first but this one looks better-and more convenient than driving into Dallas for me.
Knocking 4 weeks off my plan...I guess is ok since we are still 5 months out? Longest run to date is 7 miles, Planning the 8 mil Turkey Trot and a half marathon on New Years Day

Nice.  10 minutes from the house.

They've got some work to do though.  They haven't even decided who it's going to benefit.

I was thinking about running the 1/2 ... I dont want to run a full that close to IMTX, and want my first full marathon to be after I have got the 2.4 swim and 112 bike out of the way! LOL

Pretty bad timing I think.  It's one week after Cowtown.  You would think they would have it scheduled better.  The way it is right now:

Dallas White Rock - first week of Dec
Cowtown - last week of Feb
Big D - 2nd week of April

and Collin County - first week of March

I know I'm missing one more (since Collin is supposed to be the 5th).  Pretty close by but I would rather do Cowtown.

I might take on the Half as a warm up to my Half Ironman in April!  It would be 4 months out from the HIM.

They just canceled this race. Some issues with the Plano and Allen police department requirements. Too bad. It would have been nice to have one this close.

it also didn't look like it was going to be too big...I'm doing Rock'n'Roll Dallas Half instead.
