Wow! Zinger.

"Talk to U.S. business executives and they'll often comment on how many of China's leaders are engineers, people who can talk to you about numbers, long-term problem-solving and the national interest - not a bunch of lawyers looking for a sound bite to get through the evening news. America's most serious deficit today is a deficit of such leaders in politics and business.

and...

Oh, well, maybe we have the leaders we deserve. Maybe we just want to admire Lance Armstrong, but not be Lance Armstrong. Too much work. Maybe that's the wristband we should be wearing: Live wrong. Party on. Pay later. "

Thanks, Hollis!

I was listening to the radio on the ride into work yesterday and Howard Stern (who I think is hysterical and listen to daily) was kind of knocking Lance.  I need to add to this by saying I TOTALLY DISAGREE with Howerd on this one.

He said that it's funny seeing Sheryl Crow at the finish line holding his kids when they aren't even hers and how the kids are so young, which means Lance didn't waste any time leaving his wife for her.  That led to the conclusion that everyone thinks he has all these values because he's a cancer survivor and an awesome athlete but in reality he's kind of selfish because he ditched his wife for a hot celebrity chick!

Like I said, this is just the opinion of some radio personality and not my own.  As far as Lance running for office, I don't know anything about him other than the fact he's a great athlete.  Is that enough to earn my vote?  Nope.  I've got all the respect for him in the world in terms of his philanthropy and his abilities on a bike, but that doesn't qualify him to run our country (not that he's talking about running for president).

Just my $0.02

I wasn't aware Howard Stern acted as the Armstrong's marriage counselor and was privy to the details of the demise of their marriage.

Wait... he couldn't be talking out of his butt, could he?

Yeah, Howard divorced his wife like 5 years ago but definately didn't try to keep it a secret.  He had a few celebrity flings and for the past 3 years has been with model Beth Ostrowski.

Oh yeah that was her name.  She was a model?  I stand corrected.
