Subject: "A" Race and FF Draft on same day
This Sunday is a big day in my hobby life.

On Sunday morning I am doing my "A" race, which is also my last race of the year. It has been a fun first year of triathlons.

Sunday afternoon I am doing the draft in fantasy football league. It is a keeper league that has been together for 3 years. We keep two players, but they can't be from the same position. I am keeping P. Manning & T. Barber. I have the 8th overall pick out of 10 teams. I think that I have a trade worked out to trade my 1st round (1.8) and 2nd round pick (2.3) for Dominick Davis and his 2nd round (2.6).

Anyway, it should be a fun day. Just thought I would share my excitement.

I've been commisionser of a 10-team league for, oh, must be more than ten years now. When we stated, there wasn't this real time scoring via the internet stuff, you had to subscribe to a stat service, I think everything was via fax the first couple years. I didn't become comissioner until we had internet, though.

Our draft is September 6.

Any interest in starting a free league of BTers?

Any free sites that you're familiar with? I used Yahoo last year, worked out OK I guess, allowed for a live online draft. Doesn't have real-time scoring updates, though.

We use CBSsportsline.com for our money league, but they charge $130.

Isn't this Sunday a little early for a FF Draft. I have mine on September 5th. I would be interested in a BT League as well. I live for the National Felons League. Every Sunday is spent watching the Chicago Bears and flipping through the other games.

That's a pretty sexist assumption there, Lucy. In my 10-team league, three of the team owners are women. We've had as many as five in the time I've been commisioner.

Since all the posters were guys, I couldn't help it. 

I admit I don't get the whole FF thing but I do like watching the Bucs.

I am the 2005 champ with the fire dept's FFL. #1 pick last year, Shaun Alexander a TD machine, then in the second round I took Daunte Culpepper. The rest was history.
