Weather Permitting, I plan on blowing the dust off my road bike and going for a ride from Abbotsford to Fort Langley and back for a leisure ride, if anyone is wanting to join me let me know

Hi Jen, is the spring race series Tri bike friendly?  I just sold my road bike and picked up a used tri bike.

I'm doing the UBC Tri on sunday or I would come out and at least watch the race for sure. Going to be a cold one!

Hey Andre! It's not tri bike friendly. It runs by CyclingBC/UCI rules, so tri bikes are only allowed for Time Trials. It's fun to watch though too.

I'm not sure if I am going to race this Sunday, I'm thinking about starting my racing season March 19th, since I am away all next weekend anyway. I forgot about the UBC tri. If I don't race on Sunday, I'll make a point of riding out to UBC to cheer you guys on.

Hi Jen, I knew I should have kept the road bike UBC is just a race to get the cobwebs off the legs, not looking at going too hard. Good luck in the upcoming races, I'll have to make it out there to watch a few for sure!

I'd be into getting some rides in when the weather starts warming up. Send me a PM when you have something on the go, I'm in Abbotsford as well so it would be easy to meet up.

I made it half way then had bike problems again, i have a 2005 Giant OCR3  with Shimano Sora components, had to limp it back home, I wasnt to happy, The rear derailleur decided to call it quits, So After riding this bike for close to 2 years, I decided to buy a new bike today, Trying to stay within a budget without going insane, I bought a brand new Trek 2.1 Comes with shimano 105 group, good enough for what I want to use it for, I have a brand new set of fulcrum race rims i will put on this bike.
