Subject: Microsoft Outlook keeps restarting on it`s own

I`m having a problem with Microsoft  office on my Viao computer.   The program keeps restarting on it`s own every 4 to 5 minutes.  Currenty running Vista.  Has anyone come across this problem?  I`m looking for a fix.   I have tryed to use the recovery function off the Microsoft website but was only able to go back to the beginning of March..

What version of Office?

When did this start happening?

Did you receive some Office updates or Vista updates just prior to the incident?

Is it only Word, or Excel, or all programs in Office that is displaying this issue?

Once you have those answers, then do a search in Microsoft Technet -

If you haven't yet, I would try running Outlook in safe mode for a bit.

outlook.exe /safe

This will keep add-ins among other features from loading.

I don't think we have the CD, it was factory installed at the time of purchace.  I do have an upgrade CD for office 2010 I will try.

What version of Office?  2007

When did this start happening?   I think in Jan.  It's my wifes computer and we don't talk computer very well together.

Did you receive some Office updates or Vista updates just prior to the incident?  This could have been the problem.  We tried to do a ''recover ''back to before the problem started but were not able to go back far enough.

I guess there must be some problems in your Microsoft outlook setting. you may want to change it. Check it in the settings tab first and change something in there. microsoft outlook training
