What the hell is wrong with...........

society now days? On Dateline tonight they featured a story about a Canadian national that was convicted of sexually assualting 5 minors and 3 female prostitutues. I guess this guy would go to Thailand, visit a brothel and pay to have sex with girls as young as 5. Yes, 5 years old, WTF? One of the really shitty things about this tragic story is, the guy will only be incarcerated for 7 years. I'm not sure how the Canadian justice system works, but if he had been convicted in the US, he would probably be out in 3 for good behavior. What kind of society breeds mosters like this? No, Canadians thats not a ding on you, God knows we have plenty of monsters here. Maybe they have always been there, but with the internet, cable television and all of the other information sources out there we just hear about it more.


After a year in Iraq, I thought I'd seen/heard some of the most deporable things someone could do to another human being but I for some reason this one really pisses me off. I guess its because I'm a parent myself though. If someone ever did something like that to my son, well I dont think it would be appropriate to list all of the things I would do.

Well I'm getting fired up and I could go off on a tirade here complaining about the ACLU, politicians, people who don't like the phrase 'Merry Christmas' and a 1000 other things. I think it's time to go on a run and blow off some steam before I really get on my soap box.
