Based on anecdotal evidence on the interwebs, this really doesn't matter. They will test you regardless. I agree. The first thing they do is give you O - for severe emergencies, but if you need surgery, they always do bloodwork first - to make sure you have a functioning liver/kidneys before anesthesia, because it does make a HUGE difference on whether to push surgery, or patch up until surgery, etc. On mine, it says, NO MRI - COCHLEAR IMPLANTS. Suppose I get head injuries (especially when it's the bike), and if they put me in MRI, the magnets in my head (yes I have a magnet...look it up), will explode out of there. It's not going to be pretty. "CLEAN UP IN MRI ROOM 2!" :-) I personally feel that Road ID should be it...VITAL information. |
