Going to start my tour off by joining my friend for part of his 100-miler on his birthday! If you have a sec, hit up Jeremy_424 and wish him a happy birthday

Oh and we're looking for a strong tour from Basso, he should have a pretty strong team this year with his main Lt. being Nibali who also won the Vuelta last year while basso won the Giro.

Ok, I think I understand what is going on.  I'm going for a very conservative 400km for the challenge (coming off 3 weeks of sickness and starting IM training 11July).  Now what (besides get on my bike and ride)?

That's OK, I've been here for years and I still don't understand what's going on.

And yep, you basically just get on your bike and ride. Then you go to the spreadsheet and log your cumulative time. The spreadsheet will calculate your progress for you.

Hey D, how do we get signed in to enter our data into the spreadsheet? I have a gmail account but it's telling me I need *permission to* access.

It won't let me see the spreadsheet either, but I did 20 miles today.  The first 3.5 miles took 26 minutes, see my post titled "Priorities" in the main forum for the reason.

Then I did 16.5 miles of intervals and my legs are screaming.  I like that!

We've used it before.

Got my first ride in today it was supposed to be 2 hrs, I was doing it on the trainer but my laptop died 80 minutes in so I think I 'll call it a day.  Should have a good 3 hr ride tomorrow so I'll make it up.

Okay so I'm probably a little slow on the uptake, but the spreadsheet has me confused. There appears to be a column for "time / distance" and another column for the same thing (Miles/Km/Hrs/etc). I just put in the same data for both. Should there be a column for time if you're going by time, and another column for distance if you're going by distance? The math would still be the same and there wouldn't be two columns for what appears to be the same data... Like I said, I'm slow so the spreadsheet is probably more logical than I'm seeing right now!

Heh, I fixed it for you. The 'units' are miles, km, etc.

So you'd enter "300" in one column and "miles" in the next, giving you a combined goal of '300 miles.'

Ride #2 done, just shy of 50 miles.  Was supposed to go out with a group but it rained and I was the only one that showed.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I'll put my goals in today, I am thinking 15 stages 300ish miles

I managed 16 miles today, 11 miles of wind and hills (OK, one hill—but I rode it twice) then a 5 mile ride with my granddaughter.

38 km today.  Oooh Oooh!  the spreadsheet has been shared!  Okay, I've updated the spreadsheet (I hope correctly) and put the planned number of stages in each week along with goal stages and distance?  LMK if I did anything wrong.  Thanks again!
