I've been using the Don Fink plans for IM distance, but would not use it for HIM without some serious tweaking. Keep in mind both volume and intensity. Cutting back the DF plans will still give you quite a bit of volume, but, if your goals are to race the HIM, you may be lacking on the intensity side. There are a lot of HIM-specific plans in circulation. Why not take a look at some of those and use them to tweak the Be Iron Fit workouts while maintaining the same basic structure? |
