Subject: Triathlon Top zipper vs no zipper

Hello! I have been using a pearl izumi tri top that just didnt fit me right so I finally decided to bite the bullet and order a new top. I order the TYR Carbon Tank but made a mistake and ordered the one with no zipper. All my tops in the past have had a zipper so I was inclined to order the version with the zipper. I just want to know if anyone has any feedback on using a tri top with no zipper. I enjoyed the ability to unzip partially during the run but am not sure if it makes that much of a difference. Any thoughts or perspective would be appreciated. I have the Lake George Triathlon coming up next weekend and am not sure if I want to send it back. Thanks!

You might feel a little tightness and harder to breathe during the run.  I would always go with what you've always felt comfortable with.  I remember using mine zipped up and felt like I couldn't breathe very well so I unzipped and ahhhhhhhhh much more efficient.  =)

Also, since your race is coming up, I don't recommend you try something new on race day.  It might mess you up.  >.<

I have both. I prefer zipper. Really, it'll probably be a mental thing more than anything.

I prefer the zipper...it is nice to loosen the top on the run and it also allows a cooling effect by having it unzipped when runnning.
