Comments: This was my first century (which turned into a 107 mile ride due to my unplanned detour). This was an awesome experience. I am thrilled that I finished a century and that I know now that I can do it! One thing I have to say is that I have some new found respect (I already had a lot) for all of the IMss out there. I can not believe that they actually run a marathon after doing this - I could hardly walk up the stairs. The ride was great, I met a great guy, Phil, and the two of us rode the whole thing together. The socialization actually helped pass the time - which was long... What would you do differently?: I wouldn't pay too much attention to my odom. I think that I sort of psyched myself out a few times calculating the distance and time I had left to ride. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Rode around the lot and to my truck. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of road experience - I am primarily a mt biker. I think I would have maybe done a lot better if I had a road bike and some more experience. Last updated: 2005-09-11 12:00 AM
