Subject: RE: Beginning in the off-season?It's never too early to start. Just gradually build your base for nowuntil you're ready to start a specific training plan for your raceseason. I started traing last Sept. and didn't have my first race until May. I had no background in any of the sports, so it was perfect to allow myself to gradually build distance (esp. running ) and work on technique (esp. swimming ). I had started with the goal of a sprint race or two and ended up doing sprints, an (unfinished ) oly and a half-ironman. Marathon is up next. Good luck! |
