Chain came off at mile 3, attacked by a dog - the police support stopped and maced the dog, went 6 miles off course, nevertheless had a great ride for a great cause!
What would you do differently?:

Use a bigger cassette for the hills - it's time to upgrade the bike....

Sorry for the late reply, it was "Biking for Burns" A county Fire Department sponsored the ride - to benefit a burn victim unit at a hospital. It was located in North Georgia. I have since bought a bike with a triple ring, I really could have used it back then. I am doing another half-century next weekend near the same place - all practice for the goal which is the full Six-Gap Century in September. It is a century that goes over 6 mountains with 10,900 feet of climbing! The tour de Georgia route (that Lance Armstrong won this year) goes over 4 of these same mountains.
