Subject: doing a Half MAX...

So I have these two neighboors, they have seen me train pretty hard and they always say... Gosh I would never be able to run that long.... Well, after talking to them for a while I got them jogging and then I signed them up for a half marathon comming up in two weeks. I had decided to run my own race that day, but inspired by MAX running the marathon with Renee I have decided to run this half mary with them... So I am half the man Max is.... wait.. there is two of them, so i guess my effort can be compared huh?

Seabrook Lucky Trail 1/2 Marathon
It is going to be fun....

Good for you. Its a great feeling to run with someone with the purpose to be there just for them. You'll have fun!

So now we must debate the question of which is more enjoyable and satisfying.  Doing an Aaron or doing a Max?  Aye carumba.

Luis,

That is awesome that you are doing this. It's alot less daunting when you (or your neighbors) have got someone who's been there/done it running with you.

Max got me to do the marathon but the book you recommended (Galloway - Marathon!) got me running to begin with. I looked at my logs from a year ago and broke out laughing - struggling to run a mile. Baby steps!

Way to go, Luis. If you have half the fun and comraderie that we had last week, it will be one of the most rewarding runs of your career.

Good for you to be doing a Max!  Seems that Max has inspired a few of us lately

FYI:  CapnJackSparrow is doing a Max/Aaron for KathyG for the 1/2 mary this coming weekend.

It's always better to give than receive.  You'll benefit from this in ways you can't imagine.  Way to go Luis!
