Hey everyone, i'm Nick.. and at this exciting point in my military career, i've decided to train for a triathlon. I signed up for a gold membership in hopes that I can get some good help from someone 24/7.

Anyways, its great to be here, i'm excited to start training and to compete this summer!

Hey Nick -
Welcome...you find lots of good advice here to help you meet your goals. Have you chosen a tri for your "first tri"? Doing you have any experience in any of the disciplines yet? Ask lots of questions and read.....you should get plenty of help.

Hi there. The title of your post was a blast from the past for me!! I spent 5 years at Elmendorf Air Force Base (although my dad was doing the work). I went to Barlett High School.

Good luck in your training! The support here is amazing. Do they have a lot of tris in the Anchorage area?

hey mandy .. thats pretty cool. i'm very excited to be a part of this board, i've always been a runner but i've never implemented biking and swimming into my training as well.

Hi Nick,
I am Stacie. I am currently at Elmendorf as well. I have been in Alaska now for 6 years the end of May. I am not up to tri level yet since I still need to learn to swim but I am biking and running. I am aiming to do my first ever 5K at the Heart Run on April 29th. Nice to see someone else from this area on the board.
