Teen survives 1,300' ride - by Tornado! (gulp!)

My friend lives in Lawrence KS and his apartment complex was hit by tornado debris a few weeks ago. He said it was the most scared he's ever been, with no basement, no shelter and no warning. He woke up to telephone poles smashing onto cars in the parking lot and chairs being flung into his bedroom window.

It has prompted me to change my house-hunting criteria to "Must have basement."
