I had a hard day today and after my ride I relized that I had no food in my fridge. So I throw on some shorts over my bibs, still had my jersey on, and go to the store. As I am checking out the girl notices my Team Discovery Shirt and asks if I am a "biker". I reply yes. She then says, "Were you in that big race they have every year?"
I say, "which one is that"
SHe responds, "The one in Europe that goes through Paris. Lance Armstrong won it few times."
Me: "the Tour de France?"
Her: "Yeah, that one, did you race in that last year?
Me: "No not yet"
Her: "Well good luck, you will probobly get there next year."

I now know why Tyrant asks out grocery store check out girls... They are AWESOME.

well what happened was she was talking about a great receipe she found, and she was getting off early, and was gonna cook it up, and was sad she had no one to cook for. being a poor college kid, that microwaves my food, a REAL meal was too much. So I had to jump on it, it was great.

Yeah you jumped on it alright.  And don't start with that Mike Row Wave story again, geez. And another thing, why is it that my fine dyslexic, non-spelling friend suddenly has more female problems than an Ob/Gyns day planner? Trojans...Ty they're your school mascot not your constant companion.
But I must admit some checkout girls are cool. One of our neighbors daughters works at Publix and always "cards" me when I buy beer or wine. I get a kick out of that.
(early morning rant...need more coffee)

I didn't get her number for many reasons. 1. I don't think the girlfriend would like it. 2. I think she was a little young for me. 3. As of right now she thinks I could compete in the Tour, if I had to talk to her for longer I would have to explain to her the truth.
