Are there options other than "on and off" for email notification of thread updates? (like daily email vs immediate)

Mike, this functionality doesn't exist. The forum software is one of the few things about BT that wasn't custom programmed.

The BT Forum Widget can be used to track the 10 most recently updated threads in any particular forum. Would that do what you're looking for?

What I was looking for was a way to minimize the incoming email from updated threads. When a thread gets hopping the inbound email stream gets pretty heavy.

I have visited other forums http://www.bikeforums.net/ for example that allows following options on thread notification:

No email notification

Instant notification by email

Daily updates by email

weekly updates by email

This is a nice feature. I'll check out the forum widget you mentioned.

At the moment this capability doesn't exist, but it may be something added in the future. I know it's been requested before. I can't make any promises though.
