Sadly, Gallup's only bike shop closed today. I suppose my wrenching will get better, but I'll still need a shop for the major stuff. Any recommendations in the Albuquerque area?

I bought my bike and get a lot of my bike stuff at Cycle Cave on Menaul Blvd.  Other bike shops to consider are Sportz Outdoors or Fat Tire on Montano Blvd.  Hope this helps and I've has a lot of good service at all three.

Since 4 out our 5 bikes are Trek / Fisher, I went ahead and went Albuquerque Bicycle Center. I ended up making a second trip back Albuquerque with two of my bikes; specific problems were pointed out on both (chain skipping even w/ new chain and cassettes) , one came back with no change, the second came back worse than when it went in. It seems a test ride would have told them that.

Both bikes are fine after the second trip, and we haven't had any problems with my wife's road bike since we took it in.

A new bike shop opens up here next week, so hopefully I can get that all done here in the future.
