I ran with my friend Mike. He's a bigger dude who runs more long-distance races. I pulled him through the first mile, which I ran a 6:56!!! A best time for me!!!! I had no business going that fast....we hit hills the 2nd half, he blew past me, and my time suffered. I think 7:15 is about my ideal pace for now.
What would you do differently?:

Start out slower and maintain.
